Most of us have a few muscle groups that we’d like to improve.
Trouble is, once you have a weak bodypart, a balanced program might not fix it. In fact, it probably won’t. Imbalances actually require imbalanced programming with a greater emphasis placed on the weak points.
You can’t go overboard bombing away at your weak points though or it won’t be long before you start experiencing joint problems and overuse injuries. Muscles can take a beating, but joints can’t. The goal then thus becomes striking a balance of hammering the lagging muscle group without pissing off your joints.
