I’ve got another great compilation of videos for you today.
Before I begin, I want to remind you to check out Mike Boyle’s Functional Strength Coach 4 that I wrote about in my last post. When I made that post, I didn’t realize that if you purchase the DVDs by the end of Friday (i.e. tomorrow), you get access to a “no holds barred” live question and answer with Mike. Barstarzz awesomeness. I just think this stuff is so cool to watch. Every time I watch it I just can’t believe it.
Barstarzz in Miami. More awesomeness. The more I see this stuff, the more I’d like to try some it.
Megan Graham does some feet elevated inverted rows. If you are doing this exercise with your feet on the floor, time to step your game up!
Marianne Kane and Nia Shanks show some single leg squat and single leg hip thrusts. I’m a big fan of both of these exercises and both of these girls, so I guess I’m a big fan of this video by default. Good stuff.
Nia Shanks films an upper body workout. Nia is very strong and it’s cool to get into how she trains. I always like seeing how strong lifters set up their program.
Bret Contreras shows a nifty side lying clam exercise. For a full description, you can read Bret’s thoughts here.
Molly Galbraith hip thrusts 315 for reps. That’s just crazy butt strength.
Donnell Boucher shows the Citadel football team testing the bench press. Lots of strong dudes on this team, wow.
Michael Keck does paused squats with 375 lbs for 5 reps. That’s a whole lotta weight to be pausing like that. Yikes.
Molly Galbraith close grip benches 150×3. Strong work!
Smitty Diesel shows a dynamic hip mobility drill. I’d have to really work up to being able to do this one, but I can imagine that once you can do it, it’s great.
Smitty shows a deadlift correction. This is pretty cool how you can watch while Smitty talks and corrects this guy’s form. I’m not sure how to do this, but it’d be cool to learn.
Jake Pudenz cleans 385 lbs for a personal best. Congrats to Jake. Great job.
How much range of motion? This is some interesting stuff from Kelly Starrett.
Sean Skahan shows a drill to build thoracic mobility.
Joe Caligiuri shows some single leg exercise progressions. Lots of different exercises here.
